How results are ordered
"Recommended" (default): only businesses offering the service you searched for in the city you searched are shown; for a business not yet on CariX, we go by its type. Businesses on CariX come first, then businesses nobody has claimed yet that can be contacted with a request, then the others. Among businesses on CariX, promoted ones come first — paid placements, labelled "Promoted", ordered by their promotion level. Next come those with published reviews, ordered by their average rating adjusted for the number of reviews — a rating backed by many reviews weighs more than one from a single review — then those without reviews. On a tie, the more complete profile (description, phone, address, map location, opening hours, prices) comes first, then alphabetical order.
"Rating" orders by average rating and "Price" by the lowest price the business lists. Businesses without reviews, or without prices, come last, and those not yet on CariX are among them.
Promotion is the only paid element: promoted businesses appear first in "Recommended" and are labelled "Promoted". All other results are ordered as described above, regardless of payments or subscriptions, and sorting by rating or price ignores promotion.
