What a windscreen replacement involves

A small chip away from the edge of the windscreen can often be repaired with resin, if you don't put it off. A long crack or damage right in the driver's line of sight usually means a new windscreen. At the ITP inspection, RNTR 1 accepts, within the area swept by the wipers, a single damaged spot that fits in a circle of at most 10 mm across. On many newer cars, the camera behind the rear-view mirror has to be calibrated after a replacement: ask whether the firm does the calibration and whether it is included in the price.

How often
When a chip can no longer be repaired or the windscreen is cracked. A chip repaired early often saves you a new windscreen.

How to choose a business in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie

  • Ask for a written price before the job and what it covers: labour, parts, materials.
  • Ask what warranty you get and keep the invoice: without it, a warranty is hard to prove.
  • Check the address and opening hours on the business's profile and confirm them before you set off. These details change.
